4. Otás Home
Rooted in Family, Elevated by Nature , Colombia
This countryside home was envisioned as a space for family, one that honors its roots and embraces its deep connection to nature. From the beginning, the design focused on preserving the natural landscape, touching the ground as lightly as possible and carefully respecting the presence of every existing tree.
The house is planned in two construction phases, allowing it to grow organically over time. Designed for efficient and gradual execution, the project can be built in smaller, manageable stages without compromising its spatial quality.
A central corridor becomes the spine of the house, connecting both phases while also acting as a natural ventilation axis. It harnesses the cooling shade and fresh air to create a pleasant, breezy environment for arrival, gathering, and everyday living.
